What are metatarsalgia and corns?
Metatarsalgia refers to pain located under the forefoot, specifically at the heads of the metatarsal bones. It results from excessive pressure under the forefoot, caused or exacerbated by foot deformity, aging, prolonged standing, overweight, loss of plantar fat pad, etc. Due to prolonged pressure, the skin initiates a defense reaction and thickens in a localized manner. This area of hardened, yellowish skin is called a corn.
What is the difference between Comfortact™ Plus pads and traditional insoles?
Both of these devices serve a similar purpose thanks to the EPITHELIUM 26® silicone gel. Unlike traditional insoles, Comfortact™ Plus metatarsal pads have been developed to offer maximum comfort. They feature an ultra-comfortable ergonomic interdigital strap for individuals with sensitive skin between their toes. The gel module is also covered with microbeads that provide a massaging effect with every step.
How to choose the right size of metatarsal pads?
The size selection for Comfortact™ Plus pads is based on your shoe size. Refer to the size chart available at the top of the page under the "Size Guide" tab. If you are between two sizes, opt for the smaller one.
