Usage Advice:

• Wash before first use and after each use.
• Thermoform the ankle brace before use.

How to thermoform the ankle brace for sprains?

Thermoforming involves adapting the shape of the lateral reinforcements of the ankle brace to your morphology. It can be repeated 4 to 5 times and can be done at home in just a few minutes.

Contraindications for the sports ankle brace

• Do not use the Ergostrap® on a skin lesion.
• Do not use in cases of arteritis, diabetes, polyneuritis, or neuropathy of the lower limbs. If in doubt, seek advice from your doctor or pharmacist.

How to maintain your ankle brace?
The ankle brace for sprains is machine washable at 30°C or can be hand washed (without rubbing) with water and soap. Do not use detergent or stain remover (bleach, acetone, solvent, etc.). Allow to air dry naturally. Do not expose to heat (> 50°C). Dispose of and replace the device as soon as fabric or seams show signs of degradation.

Can the sports ankle brace be used if the ankle is swollen?
Yes, because the thermoformable reinforcements adapt to the morphology. Once the swelling subsides, you can reshape the reinforcements to match the joint's volume.

Can the ankle brace be worn without using the strapping or reinforcements?
The aim of the ankle brace for sprains is to secure the unstable ankle by limiting its lateral movements. Therefore, it is necessary to use at least the thermoformable reinforcements or the strapping over the ankle brace. For optimal effectiveness, we recommend using both.

How to choose the right size?
Using a tape measure, measure the circumference of your ankle just above the malleoli. Refer to the size chart available at the top of the page in the "Size Guide" tab. If you are between two sizes, it is better to choose the smaller one.
